Prior to inception, Essex Housing consulted extensively with partner organisations (housing authorities, Police, Fire, health, Probation, Government Property Unit, Local Government Association, National Housing Association, Registered Providers etc) in the development of its model.

ECC’s Cabinet approved the establishment of an Essex Housing Development Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) in July 2020 and to delegate authority to establish a further LLP to own, rent and manage housing.

ECC’s financial accounting team have consulted with external assurance, tax, and consulting services on the financial arrangements for Essex Housing LLPs.
