The Essex Climate Action Commission (ECAC) is an independent, voluntary, and cross-party body, bringing together individuals from academia, the public and private sectors, to promote and guide climate action in the county.  The ECAC have worked together to produce the recommendations.

Over a seven-week period, between March and May 2021, the Essex Climate Action Commission held a public consultation on recommendations included in this report in order to understand how Essex residents, organisations and businesses felt about them. 

ECC’s Monitoring Officer, S151 Officer, Climate Change Czar and Leader will all be consulted before the decision is presented to Cabinet.
