To provide an update on adult mental health services in Essex.
To provide an overview of the proposal and rationale to redesignate the status of the neonatal unit at Southend from a Level 2 Local Neonatal Unit (LNU) to a Level 1 Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU).
To receive an update from the Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.
To set out a framework for the working relationship between, and distinguishing roles of, the Essex, Southend and Thurrock Joint Health Scrutiny Committee which cover services within the local authority boundaries of Essex, Southend, and Thurrock.
