A key decision needs to have been listed on the Forward Plan for at least 28 clear days before it is made.
Key Decisions taken at a meeting are normally taken when the meeting is open to the public. Very occasionally the forward plan may say that the Cabinet proposes to meet in private when taking a decision. The forward plan will explain why the decision is proposed to be taken in private. You may make representations to the Council if you consider that the decisions should be taken in public.
Where the decision maker is a Cabinet Member their portfolio title (area of responsibility) can be found here, along with a list of all members of the Cabinet.
Copies of decisions will be published to this website or can be obtained from democratic.services@essex.gov.uk. Where a decision has not yet been taken you can submit documents for consideration by email to the same address.
