2. Recommendations

Councillor Tony Ball, Cabinet Member for Education Excellence, Life Long Learning and Employability

2.1 Agree to award capital funding to the providers listed in Appendix 2 of this report to create 43 new early years and childcare places.

2.2 Agree to enter into funding agreements with the providers listed in Appendix 2 of this report that set out the terms of the provision of such funding.

Councillor Chris Whitbread – Chancellor of Essex (Cabinet Member with responsibility for Finance)

2.3 Agree an addition of £150,500 to the 2025/26 capital programme to be fully funded by the received Childcare Expansion Capital Grant.
