2. Recommendations

2.1. To agree to undertake a competitive process for award of grants to bus operators to deliver each of the three initiatives. Each grant will be for a 24-month period from 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2027 at a maximum overall cost of £2,492,281.

2.2. To note the grant award allocated to this project totals £2,492,281 and will be funded from BSIP+ grant funding (£1,742,281) and BSIP RDEL Grant funding (£750,000). It needs to represent Value for Money (VfM) as set out in the grant funder’s terms and conditions and/ or memorandum of understanding.  The outcomes of the initiatives will be used to advise future passenger growth strategies.

2.3. To agree to delegate to the Executive Director for Climate, Environment and Customer to award grants following the competitive process.
