Title:

Extension of the Total Facilities Management contract

Details:

An extension to the existing Total Facilities Management (TFM) contract is required to support the mobilisation of the new TFM contract (s). The contract mobilisation needs to be of sufficient duration. A short mobilisation phase could result in an unfair competition because we may lose bidders. The cabinet decision paper FP/025/01/25 delegated responsibility to that the Cabinet Member for Transformation to extend the existing TFM contract if (a) He considers that extension is reasonably necessary in order to complete the procurement of the new contract or to enable the new contractor to mobilise; and (b) The monitoring officer is satisfied that the proposed extension is lawful.
