Recommendations
2.1
Agree the recommendation to provide an uplift of 5.16% to the activity rates (reflective of 0.89% of the overall annual contract value based on 2024/25) from 1st July 2025 (for year 3 of the contract). This will be an increase in total contract cost over the remaining life of the contract of ~£651,000 (ECC share ~ £409,000) based on:
(a)
increasing the prices of activity rates by 2.6% based on the contractual inflation mechanism of CPI. Cost to the Partnership of ~£328,000 (ECC share ~£206,000)
(b)
increasing the prices for the activity charges by 2.56% based on providing an uplift for the unforeseen increase to National Insurance Contributions which the provider would have been unable to budget for, utilising the material detriment clause in the contract. Cost to the Partnership of ~£323,000 (ECC share ~£203,000)
This recommendation is in line with cabinet decision FP/001/01/25 for the Working Age and Older Adults Care and Support Provision Uplifts.
